Ever read a daf of Talmud, or other text, which you can't quite understand, yet you feel a kinship with it? I felt this kinship with the beautiful Rua da Judiaria, though I don't read Portuguese. Still, here's one quick post of fabulous visual humor that TV-exposed Jews might like.
Closer to home, the listing of blogs also includes Hungry Blues, which I also don't quite grok. Still, besides musicology, he's surfacing this kind of confession from the Goodman Schwerner and Chaney case to shed light on the ongoing trial in Mississippi. Gives a chilling context for Jews (and others) reading those Talmudic references to Roman and Persian persecution. Separated at birth... by millenia.
P.S. Though we were distantly separated at birth, today's postings are dedicated to my spouse on our anniversary.
